A professor that teaches in a public university can teach in a private one only if he has few hours in the public school. But this rule is not implemented by most of them.
“No professor that works at the Public University is allowed to give seminaries at private universities without a special permit from the rector”, declared Alfred Mullai, director for the private education.
For the first time this year, the students that must be registered in private high education institutions must pass first the facultative tests.
“Every student that will be registered at the private universities must have successfully passed the State High School Graduation tests and even the facultative ones”, Mullai declared.
The head of the Private Education Directory at the Ministry of Education declared that there are 44 high education institutions in Albania, six of which are universities. After the scandal with the Kristal University, the inspectors of the Education Ministry are checking all private high education institutions and have notices a series of violations.
